I made the Top Ten at H2H!

Wow! I am still pretty new to this whole world of blogging and participating in challenges, but I can safely say, I love the challenges! They are so much fun and so inspirational to see what everyone comes up with. Imagine my surprise to receive an email that I am among the Top Ten for the month of January over at H2H! I appreciate the challenges so much, and I am so glad that others are enjoying my artwork too. I know I benefit so much from what others share, so I am glad to be able to participate, and very honoured that the ladies at H2H like what they see. So thank you, H2H!

Here is the card the Design Team recognized as part of the Top Ten....

Thanks so much, H2H! Keep on posting such great challenges! Happy Scrapping!

H2H: For the One You Love

So, the challenge over at Heart 2 Heart this week was to create something for the one you love. Since I have already made a multitude of Valentine cards, and some adorable Valentine-themed layouts, I decided to make an all-occasion card that I can use some other time to show someone I love just how much. I pulled out my favourite paper pack of all time (Cherry-O) and made this cute little card:

Simple, but cute, right?

CTMH products used to create this card include:
Cherry-O Paper Pack (retired)
Chocolate Ink
Cherry-O WOTG Stamp Set
Chocolate Baker's Twine
Edge Distressor

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Scrapping!

Mojo Monday 227

It was another great sketch this week over at Mojo Monday. Thanks again for the inspiration...

Something about this sketch made me want to make a masculine card, so I went through my stash and found some left over bits and pieces of the retired CTMH It's a Guy Thing paper pack. And this is what I came up with...

CTMH products used to create this card include:
It's a Guy Thing paper pack (retired)
Milepost Shapes
Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel
Colonial White Twill Ribbon
Durables Studs (ALL NEW!)

Thanks for looking and I hope you like it! Happy Scrapping!

Moondoggie Layout

I know this CTMH paper has long retired, but I am still on my "using up my stash" kick! It's fun to dig out these tried-and-true favourites and mix them up with some of my brand new embellishments! The layout is based on a great sketch from the fabulous site Let's Scrap (thanks ladies!!). Here is the sketch I used...

And here is a layout for pictures from my upcoming trip to Florida using Moondoggie paper...

I added some new CTMH embellishments, like the Persnickety Journalling Dimensional Elements, Milepost shapes, Creme Brulee Baker's Twine, Bronze Glitter Glitz Gel, and Cranberry Pleated Ribbon to complete the layout. The only non-CTMH item I used were the letters for the title which are K and Company.

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

H2H 3D Projects Challenge

So this week over at H2H, the Design Team challenged us to make a 3D project. My mind went immediately to my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, and all the awesome 3D shapes I have yet to try. I decided to make something I could use for the boys and made this cute Valentine treat bag using Superhero bulk paper.

CTMH Products used to create this item include:
Superhero Bulk B&T
Cork Evergreen Shapes
Pin Clip
Colonial White Grosgrain Ribbon
Black Baker's Twine
Cricut Art Philosophy Collection

I hope you like it! Happy Scrapping!

Mojo Monday 226: Round or Square

This week, the challenge over at Mojo Monday was to make either a round or square card using the following sketch:

I decided to make a round card, since I don't usually make these, and I used the fun new CTMH paper line Footloose from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book.

Here is what I came up with...

Footloose Paper Packet
Cricut Art Philosophy Collection
Happy Clusters
Sweet Leaf Stitched Grograin Ribbon
Baker's Twine - Lagoon
Pin Clip
Sparkles - Blue and Green Assortment
Lagoon Ink
