Later Sk8r Layouts: Color Dare

There are so many new and awesome papers in the new Idea Book by CTMH, but my favourite paper is Later Sk8r.  It's so great, and I just couldn't stop once I started creating with it.  I used the WOTG kit, and adding some background cardstock and the Stickease, I ended up with 5 awesome layouts!  They are a combination of layouts from the WOTG kit, and CTMH publications Magic and Make it From Your Heart.  I haven't gotten my photos onto the layouts yet, but I couldn't wait to share, so here they are!

This week the challenge over at Color My Heart Color Dare is to use Outdoor Denim, Lagoon and Pear.  My layouts just happen to fit right in!  Make sure to stop in there for some more inspiration with these fabulous colours!

I used up every scrap of this paper, and may just have to order some more.  I love these colours, and it was so great to get so many layouts done all at once.  Love this paper!

Happy Scrapping!

The Good Life

Well, I know it's been ages, but I am back!  Ever since Christmas, I have had a hard time squeezing in any crafting.  What little I did manage to get done, didn't get photographed because I was racing to catch up.  Anyway, a recent spurt of creative mojo has happened, and I have lots of layouts to share.  I am sure that has to do with the box full of goodies from the new CTMH catalog that recently arrived, but that's another story....

Anyway, here is a cute layout of my two boys that will serve as a cover page in a new album.  I used up the very last of my Scholastic paper for this layout, and I just love how it turned out.  It is based on one of the single page layouts in Close to my Heart's Make it From Your Heart publication.

Thanks for stopping by, and please check back as I am working at photographing a large pile of layouts, so I will be sharing those in the coming days!  Happy scrapping!

Studio J: $5 Layouts!

Studio J layouts are $5 each this month!  It's the perfect price to get caught up with your scrapbooking.  I usually prefer to get my hands inky, but I just created 7 layouts from our recent trip to Mexico and finished them in the time it would take me to create one traditional layout.  It feels so nice to have scrapbooked our holiday photos, as I took way too many (as usual)!

Here are a couple of the awesome layouts I created in a snap...

Be sure to check out Studio J this month and get yourself caught up with your scrapping!

Hello everyone!  This week it's a sketch challenge over at H2H!  I love sketches; they always seem to get my cards or layouts going so quickly.  Here is the fun sketch, for a large card.

I liked that this sketch was a size of card I don't usually make, so it challenged me to make something different.  Here is what I came up with...

H2H Challenge: Christmas is Coming!

Hello everyone!  The gals at H2H are aware that Christmas is quickly approaching, so to get us all motivated to get prepared, the challenge this week is to create a Christmas-themed project.  You know I love my layouts, so that is what I decided to create this week.

I used the beautiful new Pear and Partridge kit, matching rub-ons and sparkly brads.  The layout is from the awesome new publication Make it From Your Heart, and is ready to simply insert Christmas photos! I also used the brand new Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the title "Noel" in Cranberry cardstock.

I hope you liked this quick little creation!  And I would like to see what YOU create, so please stop on by H2H and add your creation to the list.
CTMH Products used to create this card include:
Papers: Pear and Partridge WOTG, Chocolate and Cranberry cardstock

H2H Challenge: Inspiration Photo

Hello fellow crafters!  H2H has a great challenge for you this week.  It's a photo inspiration challenge: look at the photo, and craft away.  Be inspired by the colours, shapes, items in the photo; it's up to you.  First, here is the photo....

I was in a Halloween state of mind, and I was inspired by the owls on the table, and the green table runner.  I reached for my Moonlight paper pack and WOTG stamp set, along with the matching dimensional elements, grabbed Make it From Your Heart, and came up with this layout...

I wanted to use the orange printed paper with the owls, along with the green patterned paper from this kit to mimic the table runner.  I used black for my base, but the patterned papers were all left over after completing my WOTG with this kit.  I also used the woodgrain patterned paper from the Dakota paper pack, inspired by the chairs in the photo, and what I imagine is a wooden table underneath the table cloth.

Here is a close up of the dimensional elements and adorable owl stamp...

I hope you had a Happy Halloween and that you are inspired to get your layouts done!  And I would like to see what YOU create, so please stop on by H2H and add your creation to the list.

CTMH Products used to create this layout include:
Papers: Moonlight WOTG, Dakota bulk paper, and Black cardstock
Stamps: Moonlight WOTG
Inks: Black
Embellishments: Moonlight Chipboard Dimensional Elements
Other: Make it From Your Heart publication
