Mojo Monday 238 and H2H Photo Challenge

Well, this week the ladies over at Mojo Monday provided a great sketch that was perfect for using up scraps, which I am all about doing these days. Combine that with the fun photo inspiration challenge issued by the gals over at Heart 2 Heart, and the result is a cute little card made with Close to my Heart's Sophia paper...

And this is what I came up with. The colours and flowers in the photo really reminded me of the Sophia paper packet. I hope you like it!

H2H Challenge and Mojo Monday 237

This week at Heart to Heart took me right out of my crafty comfort zone with a stitching challenge! I debated stamping or faux stitching, but then I figured I would pull out the sewing machine and do something I rarely do: sew on a card! I used the fun sketch from Mojo Monday to create a fun masculine card.

This is the fabulous sketch this week at Mojo Monday which provided easy inpsiration.

And this is the card I came up with.

I stitched the banners to the card, so they are loose at the bottom for some fun dimension.

And once I got started with the sewing, I just couldn't stop, so there are two more little banners sewn to the inside of the card. I left it blank on the inside otherwise, so I can add an additional sentiment when I decide what I am going to use the card for. I like how it turned out, and I hope you do too! It's good to try something new in crafting, you just might like the result!

Mojo Monday 236

The Mojo Monday sketch was an easy one to get inspired by this week. I was playing with my Typeset papers for the H2H sketch challenge, and just kept on creating.

And here is my take on the sketch. I just love these Typeset papers. I know I am supposed to be working at scrapping my stash, but I might need just one more package of this paper before it retires!

These are the adorable banners I cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.

And this is a close up of the zip-strip from the Typeset papers that I cut apart and created banners with for the sentiment. I just layered them over top of a couple of stamped tags.

The sketch over at Mojo Monday this week definitely got my Mojo going!

This is the fabulous sketch, which just seemed to jump right into my paper pack....

And this is the card I came up with... The flower was cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge, as were the shapes on which the sentiment is stamped.

The inside reads, "just living is not enough... One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."

H2H Challenge: Easter

Easter is upon us, so the H2H Challenge is a fitting one this week! The talented designers provided lovely inspiration in creating a spring or Easter related project. I decided to scrap my stash and found the beautiful spring paper Mayberry just waiting to be turned into an Easter card.

Of course, I couldn't stop with just one, so I created several of the same card and varied the embellishments and sentiments a little. I ended up with an Easter card, a Mother's Day card and a couple of birthday cards which are sure to come in handy.
